Paste the comments from your giveaway post, set your entry rules, and draw winners and backup winners with a short countdown.
This random comment picker helps you choose giveaway winners from a pile of comments. Copy the comments from your post on any site, paste them into the box, and the tool finds who wrote each comment, whether the name appears as an @username or alone on its own line. If you have a plain list instead, switch the entry mode so each line counts as one entry. Then set your rules, choose how many winners and alternates you need, and press Pick winner.
It does not log in to Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, or any other platform, and it cannot fetch comments from a post link. You do the copying, and the picker does the sorting and drawing. Everything happens in your browser, and the pasted comments are not uploaded anywhere. It works on any site where you can select and copy text.
How to pick a random comment
- Open your post, load all the comments, select them, and copy.
- Paste into the box. The tool shows how many entries it found, and how many are still eligible after your filters.
- Set the rules: one entry per person, a required keyword or hashtag, a minimum number of @mentions, and any accounts to exclude.
- Choose how many winners and how many alternates to draw.
- Press Pick winner, watch names flick past for a moment, and copy the results. The copy includes the draw time and the number of eligible entries.
Entry rules you can apply
Most giveaways have a few simple rules, and the picker can check them for you before the draw so you do not have to read every comment by hand.
- One entry per person: people who commented ten times still get one chance. Turn it off if your rules allow extra entries.
- Keyword or hashtag: only comments containing a word such as a chosen hashtag are counted.
- Tag friends: require at least a set number of @mentions in the comment, such as 2 for a tag-two-friends rule.
- Exclude list: type your own account, staff, or anyone not eligible, separated by commas.
Running a fair giveaway
Winners are drawn with crypto-grade random numbers from your browser, so every entry that passes your rules has the same chance. Alternates are drawn at the same time, which saves a second draw if a winner does not reply or turns out to be ineligible.
Write your rules in the post before it goes live and use the same settings when you draw. Many hosts record their screen during the draw and post the clip, which shows followers the result was not hand-picked. Keep the copied results, including alternates, until the prize has been delivered.
Frequently asked questions
Can the comment picker load comments from a post URL?
No. The tool does not connect to any social network or account, so it cannot read a post from its link. Copy the comments yourself and paste them in. That works on any platform where comments can be selected as text.
How does it find usernames?
A line that starts with an @username, or a username alone on a line, opens a new comment, and the lines after it belong to that comment. For a plain list of names or emails, set the mode to each line is one entry.
What are alternates for?
Alternates are backup winners drawn along with the main winners. If a winner does not answer in time or breaks a rule, you move to the first alternate instead of running a new draw, which keeps the process transparent.
Are the pasted comments stored or uploaded?
No. The filtering and drawing happen in your browser, and the comments are not sent to a server. Copy the results before you close the page if you want a record of the winners.
