Add a photo or drawing to each slice and spin. The winner pop-up shows the picture, which is great for kids, games, and anything easier to see than read.

A picture wheel is a spinner where each slice can show an image instead of, or next to, a word. The eight entries here are plain text for now. Open the Advanced editor, attach a picture to any slice, and the wheel draws it right on the slice. When the pointer stops, the winner pop-up shows the picture big enough for a whole room to see.

Images help when the people watching can't read yet, or when the choices are easier to recognize than to name. Teachers use an image wheel for vocabulary, letter sounds, and emotion cards. Families put photos of relatives on it for a guessing game. Game nights use pictures of snacks, chores, or prizes. It also makes a plain random choice more fun to watch.

How to add pictures to the wheel

Pictures are set per entry in the Advanced view. Each row has a small image icon.

    Where your images go

The pictures you add stay in your browser on this device. They are not uploaded to a server. That also means they are not included in share links. A link carries the entry list, so a friend who opens it sees the labels but not your photos.

If you want the same picture wheel on another device, add the images there too. Small, square pictures with a clear subject read best on a slice. Large photos work, but get cropped to fit.

    A logo in the middle

Besides images on slices, you can put one center image in the hub of the wheel. Schools use their crest, clubs use their logo, and streamers use a channel icon. Pair it with a background color and custom colors per slice to make the wheel match an event or a classroom theme.

    Frequently asked questions

Can I put a different picture on every slice?

Yes. Each entry in the Advanced editor has its own image icon, so every slice can carry its own picture. You can mix slices with pictures and slices with only text on the same wheel.

Will my pictures show up in a share link?

No. Images stay on your device and are left out of share links. The person you send the link to gets the same entries and labels, but they would need to add their own pictures.

Does a picture change the odds of a slice?

No. A picture only changes how the slice looks. Each entry still has an equal chance unless you set a weight on it in the Advanced editor. The result is chosen before the wheel starts spinning.

What kind of image works best?

Simple images with one clear subject and a plain background. Square pictures crop the least. Photos are fine too. Use full-screen mode when you spin for a group so the slice pictures are big enough to see.
